The workshop Synesthesia for Non-Humans: TouchDesigner, AI & Sensors serves as a space for reflection and experimentation on non-human intelligences, exploring artistic practices and technologies for interspecies narratives and countering anthropocentrism. Through theory and practice, it delves into synesthesia and innovative languages, culminating in the creation of a static or animated graphic artifact.
Activities
- The workshop follows a blended format, alternating between theoretical reflection—supported by interactive multimedia maps—and practical experimentation with hardware technologies (Arduino, sensors) and software (TouchDesigner, open-source AI tools). Participants will explore themes and technologies in depth, producing a static or animated poster as a synthesis of the activities.
- Participants are required to bring their own laptops with TouchDesigner pre-installed for the workshop.

Embodied Interface
Embodied Interface was founded in early 2022 at the intersection of shared research interests and artistic practice, influenced by posthuman studies and driven by the desire to create spaces for sharing and speculation on the co-becoming of humans, technology, and interspecies relationships.
The collective emerged from collaborations initiated during their shared studies in the Master’s program in New Technologies for Art at NABA in Milan, which continued through various projects following the completion of their degrees.
