Mediascrapes: tools for a shared design in TouchDesigner — by Marta Maglio and Giacomo Baccega
From 07/10/2025 to 15/11/2025
The workshop cycle, a theoretical-practical hybrid, includes 4 online monothematic modules (divided into two lessons each), which can be used individually or as a whole, and a workshop in presence, which can also be used independently of the online cycle.
The four modules, each divided into two weekly meetings, explore themes and techniques in TouchDesigner, software for interactive audiovisual design, dotted with theoretical and methodological ideas. The following are covered: Data visualization and procedural graphic design, Motion tracking applied to the performative field, Sound reactivity and Visual and finally AI, Storytelling and Videomaking.
The in-person workshop is in continuity with these meetings, intertwining themes and techniques, and introduces the practices and technologies to develop an interspecies and posthuman narrative. Furthermore, the use of hardware is explored in depth, using sensors, Arduino and Kinect, and encouraging participatory discussion and applied experimentation.

Embodied Interface
Embodied Interface was born in early 2022 from the intersection of common research interests and artistic practice, influenced by posthuman studies and driven by the desire to structure spaces of sharing and speculation on human, technological and interspecies co-becoming. The collective was born following collaborations that began during the common course of studies at Naba in Milan during the master's degree obtained by both in New Technologies of Art and continued following the same in various collaborations.
