Recontemporary / Salotto

1 July — 29 July 2020

Opening 1 July, 6:00 pm

Recontemporary and Seeyousound confirm their collaboration that began in February with the -22.7°C exhibition by the artist Molecule, and continued on social networks during the lockdown.
This time they present the Videoflow project, a series of appointments, in the month of July, in which a review of music videos selected from the Soundies section of Seeyousound is proposed. During this period of isolation we have all experienced different and contrary sensations: Seeyousound has tried to channel them in an artistic way, creating a new, positive and introspective vision.

Through the projection of 5 music video clips sent on a loop throughout the evening, each encounter explores two contrasting concepts, which lead the viewer to a confrontation with their own emotions and contradictions.
Every Wednesday of the month during aperitif time, from 6 to 9 pm, the Recontemporary space, in Via Gaudenzio Ferrari 12/b (Turin), is transformed into a meeting place where you can retrace and share emotions, together with the Seeyousound video clips. The first appointment, Wednesday 1 July, deals with the concepts of Alienation / Contact as a theme.

Since the first editions, Seeyousound has proved to be a dynamic reality that in a few years has been able to carve out a prominent role in the city and national cultural scene, also creating collaborations with European partners, but above all it has won the attention of the public and insiders , thanks to the quality of the proposals brought to theaters and an interdisciplinary approach, Seeyousound has managed to impose its voice among national festivals, becoming recognizable and recognized by music and cinema enthusiasts. In 2018 Seeyousound exports the festival format, in a reduced version, to Milan, Bologna, Florence, Palermo and Lecce, setting itself the goal of creating a cultural factory with continuous and diversified activities throughout the year. At an international level, Seeyousound is one of the founding members of MFFN, Music Film Festival Network, made up of 10 member festivals from different European countries, created to create synergies and exchange of good practices.
