After the success of the last edition entitled VIDEOFLOW, Recontemporary proposes again the Wednesday evening aperitifs, in collaboration with Seeyousound, this year under the name of SHORTCUT.
SHORTCUT is a review of three appointments dedicated to experimental short films and video clips. Images, music and sound-design intertwine on the walls of Recontemporary, creating sensory and aesthetic journeys that deviate from the canons of traditional narration, exploring audiovisual art outside the boundaries of genres. A journey into the contaminations that forge the transmedia and artistic imagery of the contemporary, regenerated by two pop modules (the video clip, the short film) which, in the current panorama, are among the most fluid, heretical, immediate and willing to happily undermine the formal conventions.
Starting from June 16, every Wednesday evening of the month, go to Recontemporary to discover the short films, savoring the fresh Diplomatico-based blends prepared by the skilled hands of Sciarada! 🍹
Since the first editions, Seeyousound has proved to be a dynamic reality that in a few years has been able to carve out a prominent role in the city and national cultural scene, also creating collaborations with European partners, but above all it has won the attention of the public and insiders , thanks to the quality of the proposals brought to theaters and an interdisciplinary approach, Seeyousound has managed to impose its voice among national festivals, becoming recognizable and recognized by music and cinema enthusiasts. In 2018 Seeyousound exports the festival format, in a reduced version, to Milan, Bologna, Florence, Palermo and Lecce, setting itself the goal of creating a cultural factory with continuous and diversified activities throughout the year. At an international level, Seeyousound is one of the founding members of MFFN, Music Film Festival Network, made up of 10 member festivals from different European countries, created to create synergies and exchange of good practices.
