Recontemporary and Wild Strawberries, with the official patronage of the Department of Architecture and Design of the Polytechnic University of Turin and the Academy of Fine Arts of Turin, present GLITCH, an online Augmented Reality workshop for 15 participants from all over the world. The aim of the workshop is to support students in the creation of an unpublished AR work and in their insertion into the contemporary artistic context. Thanks to a technical jury that will evaluate all the works produced, the Fondo Per L’Arte Prize worth €600 will be awarded to the artist judged to be the best and his work will become part of the Stefano Cecchi Trust Collection and will be published in the annual catalogue of the collection. The course concludes with a traveling collective exhibition developed in collaboration with Bepart – Public Imagination Movement, an augmented reality app on which the works will be uploaded. The first edition of Glitch is held online and in English, and the theme addressed is “The reappropriation of sociality and its spaces through Augmented Reality”.
The workshop is developed in a laboratory way and participants are invited to discuss and interact with international tutors and speakers from the contemporary art and digital technology sector. The course starts on March 1, 2022 and is divided into two modules: one of a theoretical nature and the second of a technical nature, aimed at training on the use of the Unity software for the production of the AR work.
