SPIME.IM
SPIME.IM is an artistic collective that creates transmedia projects investigating the
aesthetics and languages derived from the affirmation of digital reality. Their work
mainly explores the boundaries of identity, corporeality, and the perception of the
human being in the absurd times humanity is facing.
Using diverse aesthetics such as found footage, memes, and computer‐generated
images, they aim to draw connections between contemporary events and abstract
insights with the intention of making sense of it all, or perhaps simply romanticizing
the chaos.
“INFOMANIA,” was presented at InSpace in September 2025, while other works had
previously been featured in international digital art festivals such as MUTEK
(Canada, Japan, and Spain), Ars Electronica, Club to Club, Lunchmeat, Stereolux, and
L.E.V.
Additionally, they presented “The End of the World” at the Barbican Centre in London,
alongside internationally renowned pianist and composer Lubomyr Melnyk, cellist
Julia Kent, the vocal group Shards, and soprano Elina Netšajeva.
SPIME.IM consists of Davide Tomat, Gabriele Ottino, and Marco Casolati.
Akasha
Akasha, the alias of Riccardo Franco-Loiri, is a visual artist and performer who focuses his practice on digital and light-based abstraction, exploring post-internet aesthetics and generative art while delving into the relationship between perception and representation, light and pixels, matter and void. His work ranges from architectural video mapping to immersive performances featuring visuals and lighting, as well as audiovisual installations. In 2018, he co-founded the studio High Files, which specializes in visual design for music and theater shows, video mapping, and immersive experiences. Among their latest projects are the visuals for the concert tours of Lazza, Subsonica, Capo Plaza, Jean Michel Jarre, and various artists from the Italian and European pop and alternative scenes. Also with High Files, in 2024 he inaugurated their first solo immersive exhibition, Into the Mind of AI, at theLeonardo in Salt Lake City, which moved to the W1 Gallery in London in January 2025 and to the Next Museum in Bilbao in November 2025.
At the same time, he dedicates himself to directing and producing music videos.
Since 2023, he has collaborated with Gabriele Ottino of SPIME.IM on the creation of music videos using experimental AI techniques. Together they directed Hint (Spime.IM + Akasha), Universo (Subsonica), and LIBERATO’s latest music video, Turnà.
His works and interviews have been published in Fact.mag, Stir, Domus, Clot, and XLR8R.
In addition to her artistic practice, she leads talks and panel discussions on art and technology, serving as a speaker and curator in collaboration with organizations such as NxTMuseum Amsterdam, AtmosferaMag, Accademia Albertina, and Sintetica; she also serves as a mentor for the “Nucleo” artist residency.
