Talk — Lorem + Embodied Interface
15/10/2026
Recontemporary is pleased to host Lorem in dialogue with Embodied Interface, a duo comprising Giacomo Baccega and Marta Maglio. This event—an introductory chapter to the Media Threshold – Real-time audiovisual storytelling in TouchDesigner workshop—will serve as an opportunity for an informal conversation on artistic practices that span sound, image, new media, and worldbuilding. We will discuss audiovisual languages, narrative devices, and methods of world-construction as tools for examining and reflecting upon the contemporary landscape.
TALK: Lorem, Giacomo Baccega, Marta Maglio – at 6 pm at Recontemporary, free entry
LOREM
LOREM is the artistic project of Francesco D’Abbraccio, spanning electronic music, audiovisual performance, cinema, and installation art. His work combines sound with various media, merging emerging technologies and computational processes into dreamlike, ritualistic, and immersive experiences. LOREM has collaborated with numerous artists and researchers, including Danny Elfman, Blixa Bargeld (Einstürzende Neubauten), MAEID Bureau, Acre, De Santis Shabara, Senyawa, Mario Klingemann, and Silvia Costa. His work has been presented at institutions and festivals such as Ars Electronica, the Venice Biennale, Opéra de Lille, transmediale Berlin, NXT Museum Amsterdam, Sheffield International Documentary Festival, Triennale Milano, HEK Basel, Imagenfest Colombia, L.E.V., and the ELEKTRA Biennale in Montreal.
Embodied Interface
Embodied Interface was born in early 2022 from the intersection of shared research interests and artistic practice, influenced by posthuman studies and driven by the desire to structure spaces for sharing and speculation on human, technological, and interspecies co-becoming.
The collective was born following collaborations that began during their shared studies at NABA in Milan, during the master's degree they both earned in New Art Technologies, and continued thereafter in various collaborations.
