Recontemporary Prize 2024

On the occasion of its 5th anniversary, Recontemporary launches the Recontemporary Award with the aim of supporting emerging artists by offering new talents an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
The Recontemporary Award includes:
• The organization of a solo exhibition at Recontemporary from July 3 to August 3, 2024;
• A prize of €1000 to support the acquisition of a work featured in the exhibition, which will become part of the Recontemporary collection;
• A €200 fee for the artist to support the exhibition design;
• A one-year mentoring program by Recontemporary, designed to support the development of the winning artist’s career with a contribution of €1500. This financial support will be provided throughout the year, aiding the artist’s participation in international art fairs, exhibition openings, or festivals, to facilitate their entry into the contemporary art market.
Recontemporary’s goal is to build, through the support of an international jury and special mentions, a network of collaborations and exchanges that will allow the selected artists to amplify the visibility of their work.

→ system and network: Artissima, ArteFiera, LOOP Barcelona, Ca’ Foscari
For who?
The Call is open to individuals or collectives whose practice focuses on moving images, video, and new media, without limitations of nationality, age, gender, or background, and who have not yet had the opportunity to exhibit their works in solo exhibitions at an art institution such as foundations, museums, independent spaces, festivals, art fairs, etc.
