Backhome, Coming home: knowing how to make ourselves almost gaseous – air that moves limbs – in the space that knows us and knows how to welcome us. Coming home is returning to the nest, touching the objects that surround us, the junk, which are the true emotional walls of our intimate space. Coming home is memory, it is time, it is care. Coming home is always a new beginning and never a defeat. Coming home is also the future and making room for our dreams. It is about entering between walls that have the shape of our insides, a space in which we lay ourselves bare in front of ourselves. Coming home is returning to our bones, to the core, and there creating, resting, breathing. The Daydream video, created during the lockdown in April 2020, was necessarily “home” during the closure due to the pandemic, but it still is. Watching it again after some time makes me reflect on the importance of daydreaming: the first movement in the creation of a nest, of beauty, of a living space that starts from our imagination and projects itself outside.
